Do I really need a mobile website design?

In a world where people are using more mobile devices than desktop computers, the answer is a resounding, YES!  Like it or not, if you want customers to find you online, a mobile web design is a must.  Just ask Google.  The search-engine giant recently began warning webmasters worldwide to get mobile or get gone – at least when it comes to Google search engine rankings.

Google doesn’t like the idea of sending its users to web sites that people can’t read when on the go. It just doesn’t look good – for them or for the owners of the sites that are causing the problems, so Google is making some changes.  All indications are that Google will soon launch a mobile ranking algorithm that may give preference to companies with a mobile web design.  The lower your ranking, the harder it is for people to find you – increasing your risk of losing out on leads.
